Hai-Kuul – July 14, 2005

Phone Won’t Stop Ringing (Requested by Courtney8292)
I keep trying to sleep
But harsh ringing wakes me up
Sometimes people suck

Laundry Piling Up (Requested by Courtney8292)
Many dirty clothes
More arriving as I speak
I procrastinate

Gimpy (Requested by Courtney8292)
Why is it so hard
To gather the energy
To go outside now?

Loose Change (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Dimes in my pocket
I hope and pray to heaven
That I have enough

That Smile (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Corners of lips curl
Revealing pearly white teeth
My heart skips a beat

Eating At My Desk (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Lunch is haiku time
I feverishly respond
To all that I can

Winter-Summer (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Canadians know
How different these two are
And drink throughout both

The Stars Guide Us (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
High in the night sky
They draw me along my course
To America

Listless Lists (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Who is bored enough
To create a series of
The most pointless points?

Boho (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
A great restaurant
On Roncesvalles Avenue
Be sure to eat there

Yellow-Orange-Red (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
These are warm colours
They wash over my eyes like
Fiery fall leaves

Beautiful Warm Night (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
My mind is at peace
As I gaze at the night sky
In complete comfort

She Hates the Ground (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
Her face: Contorted
Her body: Shudders and shakes
The coffee: Sucks rocks

Too Hot For Coffee? (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
I’m sweating a lot
And yet I crave some caffeine
Have I gone insane?

E-Kisses (Requested by TheresaWarriorPrincess)
They’re convenient
But they definitely lack
Physicality

Strawberry Stain On T-Shirt (Requested by Courtney8292)
I ate with much care
And yet one of the red fruits
Decided to fall

Lazy Dog (Requested by Courtney8292)
He won’t fetch or run
He won’t roll over or sit
Pet rocks are better

Piles of Laundry (Requested by Courtney8292)
From floor to ceiling
The laundry’s taken over
There is no escape

  1. Since you posted a comment yesterday on my space I came and checked your space out. You have a truly wonderful site. I have never heard of Haiku till last night on here. I am a lover to poetry and I have a need now to figure out haiku. I have to admit though it confuses me. Everything I have been taught about poetry goes down the drain with Haiku unless of course I am missing it. Anyways if you don’t mind I will be coming back to see your spot again since it is the most interesting one I have seen yet. Also I think I will start adding my poetry to my space you’ve inspired me to show my creativity and it also makes a space more interesting. Bye for now Stephanie
