Hai-Kuul – May 09, 2005

The Excitement of Almost Summer (Requested by Janelle)
Flowers are blooming
The daylight shines much longer
Pants turn into shorts

German Backpackers (Requested by St-Martini-of-the-Vodka)
Happily they stroll
Shouldering their large backpacks
And wearing huge smiles

Sexism (Requested by Princess Castle)
Gender profiling
The bane of equality
Discrimination

Moral Watchdogs (Requested by Princess Castle)
Bastards on their thrones
With nothing better to do
Than point their fingers

Hypocrites (Requested by Princess Castle)
Watch the false virtue
The pots call the kettles black
Sad, petty people

Chauvinists (Requested by Princess Castle)
You think that your sex
Is better than the other?
Shame on you, asshat!

  1. Asshat… I like it!

  2. We need to find that guy that introduced us to “Asshat” and get him blogging. Little did he know that he unleashed such a morphological runaway train.

  3. Jorge! I cannot believe the last line of your German hikers haiku wasn’t “In Lederhosen.” Did your time just north of the former Berlin, Ontario teach you nothing?

  4. Hey Rat, As you know, I quite like Haiku, and have become so engrossed in it that as I compose, several variations of the lines I work on make themselves known, and are written off to the side. “In Lederhosen” was the original ending for that Haiku, actually. But I figured it would be too predictable for me.
