A Quick Thought: Love

A Quick Thought

I was at my friend Leah‘s site last night, where she posted a question asking what love is.

I typed my answer in a comment.

I wanted to touch on the more active nature of the feelings around love. I bounced the comment off a few people and then refined it to reach something a little more widely understandable.

This is what I came up with (add your own thoughts in the comment section if you like)…

“You place all your faith in something beyond your senses and yet, through your will, it becomes more solid than stone.”

  1. Very inspirational Jorge! Love does indeed take immense amounts of will-power… 🙂

  2. I like that a lot. Its always nice to have wise friends to learn things from, and bounce ideas off of:) you rock ~Leah~

  3. I like what you ended up with there. It’s good. 🙂 Cat

  4. Love – it’s that intangible something that confuses everyone, and even screws up your body! Re: your comment on my space – what does “apparate” even mean? I looked it up on the dictionary and it didn’t pull anything up.

  5. For the Harry-Potter-uninitiated (from Wikipedia): “A form of teleportation. A wizard can disappear (disapparate) from one location , and instantly reappear (apparate) in another. Both apparating and disapparating are typically accompanied by a distinctive cracking sound, possibly caused by the abrupt motion of air due to the sudden presence or absence of a body.”

  6. Ahhh. I have yet to read any Harry Potter books, although they are on my list of to-reads. I would love to be able to do that, too!

  7. Well, I’ll be darned… that’s what that noise is! I always thought it was my hip, knee, ankle, back, neck cracking when I got up in the morning. Seems I’ve been practicing disapparating as I get out of bed. *s* Ain’t love grand? Q

  8. When I read this, I could only get the song I Wanna Know What Love Is by Foreigner… Odd. I wonder if The Shellie likes Foreigner? Have a nice weekend photograpy guru! Cheers ~ian
