Photo Finally!

Fun With Photos

Quite a number of people that have visited my exhibitions usually take a card and visit my photography webpage.

I have to admit that, while I am proud of the general format I created, the galleries were a bit thin due to the time constraints of getting it up and running before a show.

There were originally twenty-seven photos in the galleries (not including the ones I use as the backgrounds for my various menus).

So, now that I have some time between shows, I figured I’d beef up the number of photos in there. I’ve taken each of the three galleries, and created sub galleries in each. By the time I am finished I should have at least a hundred and fifty photos, all representing different aspects of what I can do.

Hopefully, this broader spectrum of photos will appeal to more people.

Due to the number of shots, though, it’s going to take a while to complete this project. As of last night, I have finished six of the twenty-one new galleries.

If you fine folks could take a look and provide feedback, I would very much appreciate it.

Again, this is not a fishing expedition. If you like what you see, it would be beneficial to me if you would explain why. The same goes if you find something wrong. Just to let you know, there will be some empty slots in the galleries until I am finished (Actually, Gallery 1 is the only gallery that has been modified at this point).

Constructive criticism is the best tool available for something like this. You can leave me a comment or e-mail me here.

The Best of Barking Space list is complete. Special thanks to Dave who took pity on me and sent in a pity vote.

  1. Looking good buddy 🙂

  2. Hi Jorge! I am so sorry I didn’t finish reading! If the vote is anything like the US election votes from ages ago, I really liked the one with the obessive e-mailings and eventual firing at work. I forget which # that is!! Ah well!! I’m glad you got the Haiku Magnet set! Those sets are so cool!! Take care, Adrienne

  3. very nice, Jorge! i like the new additions to the website… i especially like the B&W pics… you have are an amazing talent, yo.

  4. waitaminute…what if my favorite isn’t on the list? I love the list of randomly named spammers. I just got one yesterday from Detrius P. Scandanavian.

  5. Jorge: I took a walk through your photography blog. I especially liked the first picture in 1C with the bright moon and mist over the water. I think the reason I like it so much is that it seems so surreal, like a place I could visit only in a dream. In the daytime landscape gallery, I particularly like the picture of the really tall trees with sun light filtering in and you can see the light as rays. I’m sure there are more there that are really great, but my wireless ‘net connection keeps going out on me. Anyway, I didn’t see a picture there that I didn’t like. You are talented. 6. Jorge – I don’t know why, but in all the months that I’ve been coming here every day, I hadn’t ever been to your photography website! I should be ashamed of myself. You have some incredible pictures — I can’t decide which is my favorite, but the one with the baby sucking on the mother’s chin definitely pulled on my heartstrings. The only constructive criticism I can give you for the site is that the choices are a little confusing. It seemed like every time I moved my mouse (outside of the galleries, where the mouse-steered tour was perfect) my view changed, and it was hard for me to figure out where I was going. But that was minor, and was more a user-friendly issue than anything else. Hope this helps, and have a great weekend!

  7. Jorge. 🙂 You know what I think of your photography. ) The website is excellent. Much more to look at. 🙂 Have a great weekend.

  8. ooooo . . .. sub galleries. . . ahhh . . . I’ll take a look around in a bit. Not right now. but in a bit.

  9. HEy Jorge! its been awhile since I’ve been here. I love your photography, everytime I look at it it looks AMAZING, they are timeless. I was wondering if it was okay to link ya.

  10. Your photos rock and so do you buddy. I love the black and white one with the tree on the hillside. Bloody good show! Pip Pip ~ian And you bumped into George S? Lucky bastard.

  11. Great gallery!

Couple of things I noticed. Color saturation levels in most of the photos are little high and I do not know whether it was intentional.

other one is on cropping- lot of good photos had cluster of trees at the left end of the photo. usually at angles you have shot as much as clean space (like water) at the front of the photos creates space!.

This is first cut observation. Since the gallery is true work of a artist i need to come back and spend some time and I promise I will do that.
