Exhibition of Antics and Blood

Exhibition Today

Today is the day that we are holding the reception for our photo exhibition. My friend Mark and I have a show we’ve called Town and Country. If you are in the neighbourhood tonight, come out and hang with us!

Munchies will be served (yes, the famous Banana Bread that I make), and the venue is pretty cool. Salvador Darling (1237 Queen St W) is a clothing store with a twist.

The exhibition will be going until August 12. However, tonight is the only night that both Mark and I will be there.



Dave and Jorge Antics Redux

Recently, I was having a chat with Dave. The topic turned to Legends of the Fall. The following is what was said…


J: I don’t care what people think of me. I like that movie a lot.
D: Yeah?
J: Yes. Although it is kinda funny how Julia Ormond gets around in the movie.
D: Indeed
J: [Poorly imitating Julia Ormond‘s voice.] I like you, and you and you. But I especially like you because you’re the biggest. How do I know? Because I had all three of you, and I know fo’ sho!
D: [Chuckling.] Man, she fell off the face of the Earth. I wonder why?
J: They stopped making movies about the woman in the middle.
D: True enough.
J: Except porn, of course.
D: That’s where she is…


Why did I use the word redux in the heading? I don’t know. I’ve always thought it a cool word…

Today’s a great day
Celebrate her day with me
She doth rock my world


Today we celebrate the day that my wife was born. I don’t need to get mushy about it (because I already did in her birthday card), but it’s nice to recognize the important days in our lives, and share them.

I figured I would announce it here for those of you who know her and don’t have her e-mail address. Of course, that also means that those of you who don’t know her very well will most likely post something as well.

Thinking About Guests

Thinking About Ideas

Yesterday a friend suggested that I should perhaps make a book comprised of haiku and my photographs. I’ve actually thought of this before, but I didn’t think it had any merit.

What are your thoughts on this, audience? Do you think it would be a successful venture?

I daresay I am not really strapped for ideas in terms of writing haiku, so I could always match the haiku to the picture, or just have the pictures there as something nice to look at.

Of course, in the end, this is all just an exercise in holding my breath. I don’t really have any contacts in the publishing industry.

So, throw me some ideas, folks. Let me know what you think!



Guest Fig-tionary Writer

Due to the ridiculous number of Hai-Kuul requests, I have decided to dole out some writing responsibility to someone who I trust immensely with my life, and blog (of course). Allow me to introduce (again) Dave!
