History Exercise

Blast From the Past

This is a neat little exercise that Kris posted on her blog. It’s great because it’s fast, easy and allows me to be lazy by not really posting anything new.

The Instructions

  1. Delve into your blog archive
  2. Find your 23rd post
  3. Find the fifth sentence
  4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions

The Result

“Of course, in times of need, I turn to Shatton, who had a bunch of headers embedded in his Blog.”

The Follow Up

You can click here if you want to read the whole article that the above quote came from.

  1. OK….Posted mine too. Hey, I remember that post. I’ve been reading your blog for a long time! 😀 Cat

  2. Interesting idea… 🙂 My sentence turned out to be “Sure you can” … which is appropriate considering i’m more of a pessimist than optimist lately 🙂 Thanks for the comments this morning. I’m wondering how many people will tell me i’ve spelled Yes and best wrong lol If you dont read the comic, you wouldn’t understand the reasons behind the extra h’s 🙂 Have a great day! Karen

  3. Nice space here!!! If u like mine – come vote for me ON 1ST OCTOBER!!! 🙂 Keep in touch!!!

  4. ha! that’s kind of clever. what rules keep you out of best of spaces? no canadians allowed? p

  5. Hmm, ends up that my fifth sentence is part of Rick Mercer’s apology to Americans…somehow fitting.

  6. Only problem with this, is I don’t think I have 23 posts yet!! lol I am too new 😦
