The Raven Can Go to Hell

The Raven Might Have Been An Idiot

When I see a quote, I usually take it with a grain of salt. A lot of the most famous quotes were made a long time ago, and may not apply to things today. However, people still use them.

And so, I have received some salt from a few people about this quote

Stress is the refuge of the fearful.
– Jorge Figueiredo, 2005

And so, I think I will change it (as it is my quote after all…) to…

Stress is a refuge for the fearful.
– Jorge Figueiredo, 2005

Thoughts?

Clouds Can Go to Hell

I woke up at 4:40 AM this morning to see the meteor shower. My eyes playing tricks on me (thanks to sleep) took a few minutes to focus, and what I saw was…

CLOUDS!

So much for seeing one of the most spectacular sights in the sky…

  1. I totally missed the memo on the meteor shower… It rained like an SOB here last night…. Today its only the locusts…. What about changing refuge to refuse? That might be interesting… I’m a tad hungover, hence the lack of witty comments. Have a good one. ~ian

  2. Jorge- thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog. Also, I thought I’d leave you with one of my wittiest quotes, which never fail to appear when I’m drinking… Last night my roommate asked me, “Are you drunk on a week night?” and I answered with a straight face and squinted eyes, “No, I’m slightly sober”. I can just see the merchandising opportunities now. 🙂 Have a great day.

  3. LMAO @ Ian! Refuse! hahaha The new quote works better. Glad to see your Smiley post on the “Best Of” list. Hey everyone, that is hilarious! Go read it. #5 on the Best of Barking Space List. 🙂 Cat

  4. Wow! You’re being awfully cavalier about banshing various inanimate objects and innocent animals to burn in the obscurity of the fiery pits! 🙂 Go for it… they probably deserve it. It’s like karma… it’s an excuse for me to be a jerk to everyone because they probably have it coming. Heh heh… just kidding… I’m not a jerk to anyone… And hey, good quote! I’m going to use it, and I’ll give appropriate credit! If I come up with a good one, I hope you’ll do the same. 🙂 I think I saw some of the meteor last week… at the drive-in. Friday night… I was there with a lovely lady and I kept interrupting the movie to shout “HEY! LOOK! SHOOTING STAR!” After about the TENTH one… I started to keep it to myself… heh. Have a great weekend, Jorge! And I’ll be sure to get out to the NEW exhibition! If I ever have an evening of spare time again, we should hang out for a drink. James.
