Making the Grade

Barefoot, You Say?*

I have two friends that are participating in a martial arts grading this weekend.

These gradings are a great experience, but also very nerve-wracking.

Both of these people are very good at what they do.

They don’t really need luck, to be honest with you.

But a little comment lovin’ never hurt anyone.

Send them some positive vibes, people!

* – This is a reference to William Shatner. If you don’t get it, don’t sweat it.

  1. ** Not exactly. William Shatner never uttered those words, though someone portraying him did.

  2. *** I never said he did. I said it was a reference to William Shatner, which it is.

  3. Hey…. just wanted to add my good luck wishes. Hope to see you out Saturday for the victory dance. (fingers crossed)

  4. I’m hoping you meant me and if you did thank you Jorge, you flatter me. I hope to see you there on Saturday

  5. Good luck with your grading! Wish I could be there to tear up the dance floor with you guys to celebrate. Have fun!!

  6. Hmmm . . . we don’t exactly have porsches in our neighborhood to walk by and point at. the cat with stars painting is by a croatian graffiti artist which is why it was in our neighborhood.

(if you want to add me to your friends list then go right ahead)

Good Luck! to your friends who are testin.

  7. **** Yeah? Well I, uh… shut up!

  8. I read the post 5 times before I realized it was “martial” and not “marital”. I was thinking, “What exactly are marital arts and why are they grading them in Canada?”

My idiocy aside, much luck to your friends.

  9. Speaking of Shatner … do yourself a favour and go and rent Spplat Attack. You can thank me later.
