Right Mindfulness or Mind Rightfulness?

Sidegawk

I have sometimes wondered if we all have a switch inside of us that gets flipped when we become parents.

Some sort of decency function that causes us to become angry at things we previously didn’t really care about.

Mine is obviously not working.

Do you know why?

On my way to the bus stop this morning, I spotted this message spray-painted on the sidewalk in large letters…

[ FUCK YOU!

The first thought that ran through my head?

I can’t believe that person didn’t close their square bracket.

Yeah. That switch is definitely not working properly…

In Other News…

Sometime in the last forty-eight hours, my stat counter exceeded 100,000 hits.

If it wasn’t for spammers, I don’t think I would ever have reached this milestone.

Hai-Kuul – May 03, 2007 (Why I am an idiot)

Sterilizing Pacifiers (An example of my idiocy.)
Watched pots never boil
But sterilizing too long
Melts the poor plastic

Somebody shoot me, please.

😦

I’m In the Home Stretch…

…Sorta

Remember when I wrote this?

I don’t blame you if you don’t. That was a while ago!

To be honest, I don’t remember all of it either. Especially the part where I said I would move all of the my old articles to WordPress within four of five months.

Life has a funny way of getting in the way of things you want to do, doesn’t it?

Of course, I never anticipated having so many entries. There were over three hundred of them.

I have about eighty left.

A good chunk of them are Hai-Kuul requests.

I’m not going to promise a deadline.

Given the fact that I have a new boss in the house, my time is no longer my own.

So close!

Hai-Kuul – April 22, 2007

Little Boys and T-Ball (Requested by Courtney-O)
They look so funny
With their tiny sized bodies
Swinging a large bat

Ireland or Cancun? (Requested by Courtney-O)
A tough decision
Choosing between sun-kissed sand
Or fine alcohol

Stupid Diets (Requested by Courtney-O)
Why does the best food
Seem to taste like old cardboard
In the face of sweets?

Drop Your Reds Drop Your Greens and Blues

It’s amazing how such a sweet life change can make hearing bad news even worse.

What the hell is wrong with some people in this world?
