I Said No, No, No!

Apropos

Before I get to the one line that will either make you laugh or make you angry, I just wanted to say something.

I like Amy Winehouse’s music. I don’t like Amy Winehouse’s behaviour.

We live in a society that has to constantly pat itself on the back for things that already have succeeded beyond measure. We reward the wrong things.

That being said…

Am I the only one who gets a kick out of the fact that Amy Winehouse won five Grammys?

I wonder if they’re up her nose yet?

  1. Bahahahahahahaha!

  2. HAHAHA!

Her voice is great. Her stage presence…not so much.

The funniest thing is that I’ve been so sick of hearing about her and her drug problems for so long, but never really discussed it with anyone but Shaun and my sister.

And then my mom emailed me this week and said, “What is the deal with Amy Winehouse?” Like she just found out about her.

I totally agree about the rewarding of bad behavior. I mean, yes, she’s talented, but the amount of “concern” and “worry” over her stupid drug use it so out of proportion to her talent. And age!

It’s not like she’s a well-loved, octogenarian entertainer that has got the whole world up in arms about her shocking drug problems. She’s not even thirty! Who cares?

There was actually an interview with Ron Wood in TIME where they asked him about Amy Winehouse! WTF? WHY IS SHE A GLOBAL CONCERN?

  3. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!

I think I just choked on my Diet Coke. Stellar.

  4. My biggest problem with Ms Winehouse is her eye make-up

  5. Talk about rewarding bad behavior….
    😉

She really should have been made to go to rehab. Spoiled twit.
    😉

  6. Or injected yet.

I sputtered upon hearing the news, and there were discussions on her receiving those awards. She wasn’t permitted into the U.S. because of her behaviour… why should we/the music indusustry be promoting that type of person/life style??

It’s a shame. Fiest is good all around!

  7. i’m thinking i’m the only one who has the latter reaction.
As one of many articles about Winehouse this past month mentioned.. to dismiss her as a train wreck is to presume that she has no idea that she’s off the rails.

Listen to her (often brilliant) lyrics….
    She knows.
