They Say It Changes You. They’re Right.

Exceeding Expectations

What a rollercoaster week it has been.

It started off as a fast (yet controlled) car trip to a hospital, and is now an ongoing adventure.

A good portion of my life before this point has been spent thinking about this very thing.

But no matter how much you read about it, or mentally prepare for it, I belive there is a part of it that you will never, ever be able to understand until long after it has happened.

That path to that understanding is an adventure.

You Think You Know Someone…

I am immensely proud of Mrs. J.

I am in awe of what she did and consequently, have even more respect for all of my female friends who have kids.

I could take all of the pain I’ve ever had in my life, and wrap it all into one moment, and I doubt that it is interest on the tax of the pain that my wife went through.

But if you ask her for her opinion, she would tell you that it was all worth it.

  1. Yay Mrs. J!

Jorge, your baby’s Momma is one amazing woman, for sure. You two are so deserving of these new loving and happy experiences.

Baby McFiggy’s one lucky child. Why? Cuz her parents ROCK!

  2. Mrs. J is my hero! I can’t believe she did it au natural. Remind me to never get on her bad side.

Baby McFiggy is lucky to have parents who have such clarity and realize what a true miracle she is!

  3. Believe me, you never get over the wonder of it—my “kids” are in their 20s and 30s, and I can still remember the awe of the arrival of each of them.

  4. It is amazing and for you to reconzie this is also remarkable … It is worth all the pain, tenfold over . The gift God gave just us women is incrediable (sp) … The strength we have during the labour and dilivery is quite something because along with pain you are afraid ( or at least I was with my first 🙂 ) .
Your adventure in a new life is just begining and it has no end . Savore all the moments good and bad for they will get you through … The life lessons you will learn and the laugther ( even at yourself ) humour is important . May you continue in awe , so you may give the best of yourself …

  5. Of course we knew Mrs. J had it in her. She’s lived with you for how long? The woman is a glutton for punishment I tell ya, hard as nail. 🙂

Congrats again you two! I’m so, so excited for you.

  6. McFiggy? That is too funny. And your wife is a glutton for punishment…..too funny. Congrats on the new little bouncing one who seems to go by the name Baby McFiggy.

    Austin
