On Patience…

These quotes mean something to those who know me…

Waiting is a trap. There will always be reasons to wait. The truth is, there are only two things in life, reasons and results, and reasons simply don’t count.
– Dr. Robert Anthony

Between the wish and the thing life lies waiting.

Waiting for the spark from heaven to fall.
– Matthew Arnold

Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting. That is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow – that is patience.

Nature, time, and patience are the three great physicians.

Patience comes to those who wait.

Patience is a virtue.

Patience is the mother of will.
– Gurdjieff quotes

A man who is a master of patience is master of everything else.
– George Savile

Patience is the art of hoping.
– Marquis de Vauvenargues

My favourite…

The greatest prayer is patience.
– Buddha

  1. Then I have been patient all my life ….

  2. well…..I’d lost track of you!

the timing of this entry from you was fantastic, I love the quotes and I’m gonna have to pass them on…some of my classmates could learn a lot from them.

Thanks for the comment….i’m really enjoying living life, I think part of my not blogging so much is that I have to keep a journal at school….and some of what’s there is as cryptic as on my blog, I know what it means to me…..

    have a great one…

    I’ll be back.

  3. patience is not watching a boiling pot lmao. So how is this new word press treating you? LOL You have that many more entries!!! Wow, I say good luck to you. XD

  4. It’ll happen, Jorge. A month from now you’ll be wondering what happened to your peace and quiet!!

  5. 🙂

  6. There seems to be a theme… but I can’t put my finger on it…

Maybe you need some patients – they’ll help you pass the time.

  7. I think when I was about this overdue, I began bargaining with Travis. “If you will come out today, I will buy you a brand new car at 16.” It didn’t work. Those little buggers have a mind of their own even in the womb. As you can tell, patience is not a virtue of mine!

You can tell Mrs. J it is all her fault. She is already far too good at making the baby comfortable! Why would McFiggy want to leave such a happy home?

  8. I know the feeling. It’s wait, wait, wait and then boom…your world is thrust into overdrive.

Patience is bitter, but it’s fruit is sweet.
    – Linda Clarkson

  9. I should say patience, I ‘m just use to patients ! 🙂 LOL this is a wonderous thing that happens in it’s own good time …

  10. hey! I’m a big blog slacker lately. I’ve totally given up on spaces really. Randomly checked the comments this morning and saw yours…so thought I’d come say hi!

  11. I have absolutely nothing to help you right now. So yeah…but I am thinking of you and in search of my passport so I can come play. In due time that is.

  12. Well, if that is what patience really is…then I FINALLY HAVE SOME!!! YEA!!!! All my life I have been thinking that God never granted me with patience, and all along HE did!!!!
How have you been since leaving MSN?? Things just aren’t the same without you on there!! LOL!!!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend (and Easter Holiday if you celebrate it)…

  13. Hi Jorge…

Glad you like the painting!!! Sorry about the circles….lol
“note to self…no more circle slide shows…”

  14. Grats on the baby Jorge.
Now comes the great time of no sleep.
Welcome to the club .. dad.

  15. Dude, I’m struggling with the 1 posted comment a day.
I try and look for wee little postings you’ve made, one’s that are lonely and begging for comments. But all your damn articles have millions of comments.

Where the hell are the lonely!?!?

PS I am terrible at being patient. I am instant gratification girl.
Sometimes, I am so mean to myself, that instead of being instant gratification girl, I will torture myself by being the pleasure prolonger. If you’ve seen Vanilla Sky, you know what I mean.
