Movember 2026 – Week 1

We’re officially almost a week into Movember, and while this post is arriving a few days later than planned (things have been pretty busy!), the campaign itself has been running at warp speed—even before day one.

So, what’s different about this year’s campaign?

Week 1 – MOgress

For starters, in previous years I set a relatively high goal and then moved the goalposts upward as the donation numbers got closer. This year, I’m setting the bar sky-high right out of the gate—just a hair past last year’s crazy total. It feels a little bananas to aim this high from day one, but I have complete faith in this community, which has never let me down.

Secondly—and most importantly—Movember officially named me an Ambassador this year, which is a huge honor. Looking back on where this journey started years ago, receiving this recognition from the organization is incredibly humbling. But to me, being an ambassador isn’t just about a title—it’s a responsibility. It means stepping up to amplify the message, ensuring men know it’s okay to open up when they’re struggling, and continuing to fund life-saving research for prostate and testicular cancer. While I haven’t managed to convince anyone to join my team just yet (you’d be surprised how shy people can be on social media!), I’m focused on making sure the message reaches as many people as possible.

Putting the “ass” in ambassador.

Speaking of getting the word out, another change this year is that I’m stepping up my video content. Inspired by my friend Michael, I stepped out of my comfort zone and started posting Stories on Instagram and Facebook. This is actually a pretty big deal for me. What have I learned so far? I should definitely write a script—twenty-five takes is a lot for sixty seconds of footage! Live and learn, I suppose.

Finally, if you happened to tune into local TV last weekend, you might have caught a familiar face! I appeared briefly on a segment to talk about Movember, why men’s health advocacy matters so deeply to me, and what we’re pushing to accomplish this year.

Look Ma: I’m on TV!

So how can YOU help? Whether you’ve supported this campaign for seventeen years or you’re following along for the first time, thank you for being in my corner. We have a massive goal to hit this month, and every conversation, share, and dollar brings us closer.

Talk: Check in on a friend today – a simple call or text can mean everything.

Follow along: Bear with me as I figure out this video thing over on my socials!

Donate: If you’re able to chip in, every bit drives real change (you can do so here).

Let’s make this year even better than the last!
