NaNoMaMa

NaNoWayMo

After a lot of thought, I have decided not to participate in NaNoWriMo this year.

I have to admit that I feel really crappy about that, as I would really love to do it. I even have a really great idea.

Last year I managed to finish, even though I had one less week to work with. Mind you, I rushed the last twenty pages, which makes me feel not-so-good.

I’m also a little disappointed that I haven’t revisited the story I wrote last year to fix it. When I first told Dave about my idea, he was a bit worried that I wouldn’t make it past ten pages.

So was I.

Surprisingly, it made it all the way to the fifty-thousand words that I was planning on writing. But at around the forty thousand word mark, the story became something more than what it was, and would require a lot more words to finish it.

If I was to have a list of things I would like to complete in the year ahead, that story would be on there.

Mama is Coming to Town

Mama is coming to T-Dot tomorrow. I am very much excited about this.

We haven’t seen her since April, which is far too long.

There will be a lot of celebrating. A few really cool people will be joining us, too.

Today is guaranteed to be the longest day of the year because of how much I am looking forward to this weekend.
