Movember 2020

What a year it has been.

At the end of the summer, while driving down an expressway outside of Toronto and observing the passing information billboards (which showed only announcements regarding COVID-19, instead of the usual traffic information), I recall feeling as if I was in a science fiction film. The world had changed so quickly in such a short amount of time. It blew my mind.

Movember 2019 – Thank You!

Despite some challenges, it has been a great month for my Movember initiative. Overall, I raised a great amount of donations (more than last year – 158 separate donations totaling $6,802 – so far) and I hope that I have done at least as good of a job of informing people what Movember is all about. It Takes a Village…

…to grow a moustache this big.

Little J asks me about doing “the serious photo” in early October. That’s commitment!

All kidding aside, our humble team of 8 raised over $6K to support Movember Canada – a feat which could not have been achieved without your donations. I wish that I could write each and every one of you your own personalized “thank you” note, but I can’t. So I’d like to thank you here for all of your kindness in donating to what I believe is a worthy cause.

I’m hoping that next year we can raise even more!

Big Bike is Here!

Having recently celebrated my 34th birthday, I spent some time thinking about my future. It’s one year shorter in duration, which is just a reason to pack that much more into the rest!

For the past few years I’ve participated in the Heart and Stroke Big Bike Challenge. Essentially, I get on a bike with 29 of my coworkers (that’s right, a 30-person bike) and pedal around downtown Toronto.

I’ve always supported H&S. In recent times this organization is even more important to me, as a family member suffered a mild heart attack and is now a thousand times better than he was before the incident.

So if you want to sponsor me, you can utilize this new-fangled interwebs to do so by here.

A hearty thank you to those who have done so already!
