It has been an emotional summer. I don’t really need to get into that here – but one of the happiest events occurred yesterday: Olivia is starting her new chapter and we are so very proud of her.
Making her new place her own.
I have been thinking about this for a while – and I have been looking at it through many lenses. As always, I felt the need to “put pen to paper”. Read on, if you like!
I have lost a brother. My dear friend Jean-Pierre Matte passed away last week. Fuck cancer.
Farewell, my brother.
As is my way, I need to process my grief by writing something to etch my memories of this incredible man onto the public consciousness – because the world is now missing one of its greatest people – and it needs to know what he meant to me.
My Movember 2024 campaign has reached its conclusion. Thanks to everyone’s generosity we have raised $13,901 from 220 donors (at the time of this posting – it’s still not too late! 😉). This means that over the last 16 years you have helped me raise $89,583. That’s absolutely astouning!
I just realized as I started to write this post that I didn’t actually write my usual first of November Movember post. Well, here we are at the halfway mark of Movember and things are going well!
My Movember 2023 campaign reached the end of its journey – and I am stunned at everyone’s generosity and support! We raised $13,241 with the help of around 240 donors (at the time that this post was published). That pushes the total amount of money that I have raised over the last 15 years to $75,362!
