One Day More

Here we are on the penultimate day of Movember. It has certainly been a busy one – and there is still one day left.

Our annual Movember family photo.

Today we are celebrating the Movember campaign with our annual “Ar-MO-geddon” Party – the party that signals the end of Movember.

I have probably said this before (many times) – but I actually detest growing this thing. I love that people are very complimentary about how it looks – but it’s just an itchy annoying accessory to me.

But that’s the point. Many people in life have to live with physical and mental ailments that they can’t just “shave off” from their lives. So I do my part by growing this hairy caterpillar to raise awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, suicide, men’s health (both mental and otherwise).

Every year, for one of the final photos of the Movember campaign, I do a “serious” family photo (because growing a moustache and raising awareness and funds is a serious business). This year, one of our kiddos is away, so we have opted to play with the format a little (thanks to Movember and GoogleUK).

If you have donated money, encouragement, or time – I thank you. If you haven’t donated yet (and would like to), you can do so here.
