Movember 2019 – Thank You!

Despite some challenges, it has been a great month for my Movember initiative. Overall, I raised a great amount of donations (more than last year – 158 separate donations totaling $6,802 – so far) and I hope that I have done at least as good of a job of informing people what Movember is all about. Movember 2019

The Movember foundation focuses on awareness in three area: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mens’ mental health (which includes suicide prevention).

For eleven years I have been raising money for Movember, and for every year there are more personal examples of why it is an important charity. Each year that has passed has had more men that I know diagnosed with prostate cancer – some are friends and some are friends or relatives of friends. I have also witnessed the anguish of those who are forces to struggle with mental health issues – and, unfortunately, I also know people who have had to bear the brunt of suicide in their families.

Ron Tite is many things: speaker, stand-up comedian, marketing wiz, creative, and -full disclosure- a good friend of mine. Ron has somehow managed to sucessfully deliver the equivalent of his excellent on-stage magic in book form. Think. Do. Say.: How to seize attention and build trust in a busy, busy world is an insightful and entertaining read – and if you’re looking to differentiate yourself from the crowd in a busy modern world, it is a must-read title.
