Wrapping Up Movember 2021

Movember – It takes a village.

My 13th year of raising money for Movember is drawing to a close. It has been a challenge, given many things at play in my life – but at the time of this posting, 155 donations have been made (totalling $7,039!) – and I appreciate every single one. Team Zayo Mo’ looks like we will put our Movember 2021 campaign to bed at $7,339.

It never ceases to amaze me – how so many of you in this continuing pandemic can be so generous. It warms my heart that there are so many repeat donors – and it makes me smile to see that new donors have joined the fight. Movember is very important to me because of the concept – but more for the personal ties.

Movember does great work. $24.8 Million was raised in 2020 (and this is just Movember Canada with 85.2% of funds raised allocated to men’s health projects).

I honestly believe in the Movember Foundation, which does fantastic work. I gladly throw my heart into this because I believe it to be a worthy place to do so – even among all of the other worthy causes.

Where does the money go? Currently there are an excess of 1,250 projects funded, working with 20 men’s health partners in 20 countries. You can see more about that here (https://ca.movember.com/report-cards)

Our “serious” photo this year demonstrates that one is never truly alone. Having the support of my awesome family makes all the difference.

It’s not too late to donate, if you so choose: https://ca.movember.com/mospace/372848/

I would also be remiss if I didn’t thank my teammates Matt (https://ca.movember.com/mospace/14457250) and Tyler (https://ca.movember.com/mospace/14512004) for their time and effort. You can choose to back them, or donate to the Zayo Mo’ team: https://ca.movember.com/team/2236721

Thank you all so much for always having my back (and by the transitive property, the backs of all of those that I support). Year 13 was a blast and I shall return next November. Remember: you are more than welcome to join me!

Midnight is fast approaching, and my face is happily anticipating the exodus of this hairy caterpillar on my face!
