Wrapping Up

Farewell, 2011

This has been a very challenging year – and I wanted to thank all of the people that helped me along the way. All aspects of life have been crazy-busy, but I think that, by the last few months of the year, I managed to get a handle on things. Perhaps it may not look that way to some, but trust me – lots of learning and growing and challenges met.

This blog has all but wasted away; it is a shadow of a gaunt version of what it used to be. Running Toronto Thumbs and keeping Figtography going are really the reasons why Barkingspace has far fewer posts than it used to. In some ways, though, I find that I enjoy writing here more than I used to – when I felt that I had to. It’s nice to have a place to write that I don’t have to spend time building, if you follow me.

I wanted to thank my friends, both old and new, for being so awesome and supportive. I wish we could all live in a neighbourhood together so that travel was never an issue. Of course, the fact that we don’t is probably better for all of you due to the fact that I can get pretty annoying. Just ask my family.

Speaking of family, I wanted to thank them most of all. I don’t think you could ask for two more awesome ladies. I owe you both more than I could ever pay back – but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try. 🙂

All the best to everyone at the end of 2011! Let’s face 2012 with fire in our hearts and a youthful outlook! YOUTH!
